Overview

At BodyClarityHub, your privacy is foundational to everything we build. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, how it is stored and protected, and the choices you have over your data.

We are a wellness tracking platform, not an advertising company. We do not sell your data, we do not show you ads, and we do not build profiles of you for third parties. Your health data is yours, and this policy describes how we keep it that way.

Information We Collect

We collect information in three broad categories:

• Account information: your name, email address, and password (stored as a one-way hash) when you create an account.
• Health and wellness data: the metrics you choose to log, such as body weight, waist circumference, body fat estimates, nutrition entries, movement, sleep, optional biomarkers, and progress photos.
• Usage and technical data: limited information about how you interact with the service, such as device type, browser, and approximate location derived from IP address.

You decide what health data to log. Nothing in the health and wellness category is collected automatically or without your input.

How We Use Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, maintain, and improve the BodyClarityHub service.
• Display your tracked metrics, trends, and AI-assisted insights back to you.
• Communicate with you about your account, security, and important service updates.
• Detect, prevent, and address technical issues, fraud, and abuse.
• Comply with our legal obligations.

We do not use your health data to train advertising models, and we do not share it for promotional purposes.

Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored with trusted infrastructure providers that meet recognized security standards. All data in transit is encrypted using TLS, and sensitive data at rest is encrypted by the provider.

Access to your data is protected by row-level security at the database level, meaning no other user can reach it — and even a flaw in our application code cannot expose it to someone else. Progress photos are stored in private, access-controlled storage that is never publicly listed.

No system can guarantee complete security. We continuously review our practices and will promptly notify you in the event of a security incident affecting your data, in accordance with applicable law.

Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only in limited circumstances:

• Service providers: trusted third parties that help us operate the service, such as hosting, email delivery, and payment processing. These providers are bound by contractual obligations to protect your data and may use it only to provide their service to us.
• Legal requirements: where required by law, court order, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of BodyClarityHub, our users, or others.

We never share your health data for advertising purposes, and we do not transfer it to data brokers.

Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you.
• Correct inaccurate or incomplete information.
• Export your data in a portable, machine-readable format at any time.
• Permanently delete your account and all associated data. This is a real deletion, not a deactivation.
• Object to or restrict certain processing of your data.
• Withdraw consent where processing relies on it.

Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. If you delete your account, we permanently remove your personal data from our production systems within 30 days, and from backups within 90 days.

Some limited data may be retained for longer where required by law, to resolve disputes, or to enforce our agreements — but only for as long as necessary.

Children's Privacy

BodyClarityHub is not directed at children under the age of 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take steps to delete it.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of the page. If we make material changes that affect how we handle your data, we will notify you through the service or by email before the changes take effect.
